Many local shelters and humane societies are not equipped to care for small mammals or reptiles. Which is where we come in! We help bridge the gap in providing services for the little critters that often get forgotten.
We provide all of our animals with the necessary medical care such as sterilization and vaccines, and treatment for any illnesses or injuries they may have prior to adoption.
We offer mobile grooming every month to pet owners from Thurston County up I-5 to Snohomish County. We are not professionals and our team of volunteer groomers will teach you how to groom your little critters yourself!
We offer pet sleepovers for your critters while you're away in one of our foster homes. Your critter companions will receive the same love and attention they would at home while staying in our care.
Need something notarized? Our Founder offers mobile and local notary services. All proceeds go to the rescue!

Our text-line is monitored and responded to as soon as possible Monday-Saturday from 9am-9pm. For questions or inquiries to adopt, email is the best way to reach us. Grooming and boarding can be scheduled right on our website!
We are a foster-based rescue. We do not have a public location. We do our best to respond to all messages within 1-3 business days.
Growing up, we had a pet hamster named Lilli. She lived in a "fancy" two story critter trail cage that we thought was great. But growing up and learning more about hamsters and their care, we quickly realized how wrong we had treated Lilli. We found a local rescue that specialized in "pocket pets" and we adopted our first hamster. But after our search to rescue an animal was fulfilled, we continued to see animals in need of homes or being improperly cared for. We kept referring individuals to reach out to rescue but every rescue was constantly full. So we thought, "Why don't we just start fostering?" And that's how it all started.
Kayla has always had a love for animals. She started fostering and working with rescues when she was in college and her passion has only grown. She saw that there was a need, and she strived to help bridge the gap.
Jess has been rescuing animals for over 10 years. She first fell in love with fostering cats and then fell in love with hamsters. She is a guru of knowledge and a huge advocate for animal welfare.
Jessica has not been working with animals for long but she has tons of knowledge from working with nonprofits and various advocacy groups. She helps manage our finances and marketing efforts.
Shauna initially came to Lala's as a client, looking for help with her cavies. She has since become an integral part of our team with her business background. She manages our services and foster program.
